Landscape Design
Updating your home’s landscaping is a great way to increase the value of your property and create outdoor spaces for relaxing and entertaining. Whether you want to focus on increasing your curb appeal with a reimagined front yard, create a backyard retreat with dining and entertaining areas, or both, there are many options and features to consider. Our landscape designer has 30 years experience in professional site plan design featuring all of your favorite plants in an aesthetically pleasing, low maintenance and easy to read drawing.
Soil and Water Testing
For many, starting a garden is as easy as picking a shady spot in the yard. However, some potential planting locations may not be suitable for gardening depending on available soil and water. Water may have disease-causing bacteria, and soil may contain unsafe levels of lead, arsenic, chromium, mercury, or other contaminants that could potentially harm your health. Making sure that your soil and water are safe to use is the first step in creating a garden that produces healthy food and is a safe space to spend time. Our arborists use the industry's leading testing kits that accurately assess the quality of your soil and water.
Bonsai and Topiary Pruning
Bonsai and topiary pruning is the art of clipping and trimming twigs and foliage into different designs such as geometrical shapes, fanciful hedges, and corporate logos. Bonsai and topiary trees are an ideal option for people looking to make their landscape stand out. Just one properly shaped tree at the front of the home could dramatically increase property value and bolster curb appeal. The certified arborists at Arborist's Municipal International are versed in the industry's most recent bonsai and topiary pruning techniques and designs.
Tree Injection
Trunk and root injections are the industry's leading form of tree preservation. Injections have proven to be more effective, environmentally friendly, and cheaper than other alternatives such as spraying or soil-applied pesticides. Our certified arborists are proficient in injecting antibiotic, insecticide, and fungicide formulations directly into the tree trunk or roots where it is quickly taken up by the vascular system and distributed throughout the tree. These formulations are used to combat a multitude of harmful, and in some cases lethal, diseases and pests.
Golf Course Consultation
Providing golfers with a challenge while looking to maintain problem areas on the course is easier said than done. Our certified arborists are skilled in understanding the natural landscape and cohesion of vegetation, ponds, grasses, bunkers, paths, stonework, and woodwork. They are able to provide layouts that follow traditional principles involving the specific number of holes, par values, as well as the number of holes of each par value per course, while keeping in consideration the arrangement of greens with proximity to the next tee box, minimizing the travel distances and varying the mix of shorter and longer holes.
Street Management Plan
A street tree management plan is a comprehensive review that evaluates the entire community including its trees, structures, and citizens. Usually prepared by a municipal arborist, the purpose of having a management plan is to ensure that the community will continue to appreciate the benefits from trees through proper arboricultural management in a cost-effective manner. A management plan establishes a clear set of priorities and objectives including but not limited to obtaining a complete inventory of all street trees,
providing an assessment of the maintenance needs of the trees, and the development of an operational maintenance program.
